The Palace is deservedly ranked into the top category. It currently hosts more than 20 creative communities, 7 of which are awarded with the title "Exemplary" or "National".
The Palace of Culture of Naftan OJSC opened its doors to residents and visitors of the town in 1967. For more than 40 years it has been one of the largest cultural and educational establishments of the town.
The visitors can enjoy the concert hall with 750 seats, the small hall with 150 seats, the lecture hall, the dancing hall, the disco hall, more than 30 rooms for clubs. The Palace also hosts the Hall of labour fame of Naftan OJSC.
Due to support of the management and trade union of Naftan OJSC, the Palace of Culture is equipped with music and illumination facilities, scenery, theatric costumes. Creative communities of the Palace can improve their performance skills at various contests and festivals. Thousands of the plant staff members spend their leisure in the Palace participating in contests, festivals, concerts, holiday events, family rest events, exhibitions of visual and applied arts, and other events. The Palace of Culture of Naftan OJSC is a convenient performance stage for Belarusian and Russian pop stars.
Twenty creative communities reveal and develop talents of Novopolotsk residents, contributing to their self-actualization. The geographical area of their tours varies from small towns of our country to the main performance stages. They are appreciated by spectators from neighbouring and foreign countries. Their achievements vary from winning of town contests and festivals to republican and international competitions.
The staff of the Palace is distinguished by a vast creative potential, high professionalism and devotion.
Based on the results of competition of the enterprises and organization of the town in 2008, by decision of Novopolotsk authorities, the staff of the Palace of Culture of Naftan OJSC was awarded the place in the hall of fame as the best team among those working in the cultural domain.
